TL;DR
Senior Staff Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer (Aerospace/Satellite Communications): Developing and executing assembly, integration, and qualification tests for spacecraft, electrical ground support equipment, and satellite communication systems with an accent on electrical interfaces, RF, EMI/EMC, and mission operations. Focus on leading complex test campaigns, troubleshooting integration issues, managing anomalies and corrective actions, and validating flight hardware under environmental and operational conditions.

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site daily in the lab and cleanroom. Applicants must be eligible under U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying protected status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $184,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

  • Define requirements, designs, and ongoing support for electrical ground support equipment used in satellite testing.
  • Develop and execute assembly, integration, acceptance, qualification, and environmental test activities.
  • Validate electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Lead test readiness reviews, anomaly reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action implementation.
  • Author test procedures, analyze and present test data, and support verification activities.
  • Support satellite integration, launch operations, and on-orbit mission operations.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 12 years of experience, including significant spacecraft or related systems assembly, integration, and test operations.
  • Experience across multiple stages of satellite and component/GSE development, from design for test through test operations and operational missions.
  • Experience with requirements management, system design, integration, and test.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, and willingness to learn additional languages.
  • Ability to work on-site daily in the laboratory and cleanroom and meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

  • RF communication systems test experience.
  • EMI/EMC compatibility and mitigation test experience.
  • Experience using COSMOS and Grafana.
