Senior Integration & Test Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global's global headquarters

Salary: $125,300–$187,850 USD base salary annually. Total compensation, including equity: $157,800–$245,125 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead integration and test campaigns across multiple levels of spacecraft development.
• Define systems requirements and verification and validation plans with cross-functional teams.
• Develop acceptance, qualification, and R&D test plans for spacecraft systems.
• Develop, maintain, and operate environmental test systems, including vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal, and EMI systems.
• Develop and maintain mechanical and electrical ground support equipment and test facilities.
• Interface with ground test software and hardware-in-the-loop systems, implement flight software configuration changes, and investigate anomalous vehicle behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, aerospace, or another engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in test engineering or another hands-on engineering role.
• Experience with environmental testing, such as thermal vacuum or random vibration testing.
• Proficiency with C, C++, Python, or MATLAB, as well as Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
• Experience writing technical procedures, reports, requirements, and other engineering documentation.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required; U.S. export-control and ITAR eligibility applies.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in an engineering discipline and aerospace test engineering experience.
• Knowledge of satellite subsystems, including CDH, ADCS, EPS, and communications.
• Experience with clean rooms, ESD-sensitive equipment, electrical test equipment, electronics test systems, sensors, signal conditioning, and data acquisition.
• Familiarity with spacecraft harness design, 3D CAD software such as NX, RF testing, networking, and Linux systems.
