Avionics Integration Engineer (Satellite)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite role

Base salary: $115,000–$145,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop automated hardware and software solutions to test and validate flight-worthy spacecraft electronics.
• Debug complex vehicle electrical systems and design PCBAs that interface with flight hardware.
• Write object-oriented Python software to control test equipment, custom hardware, and satellites.
• Improve integration and test processes while maintaining product quality.
• Lead high-visibility test campaigns, including scheduling, work distribution, risk mitigation, and execution.
• Collaborate with design and cross-functional teams on qualification, acceptance, and system-level issue mitigation.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience, or equivalent internship or project experience.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and hands-on hardware development experience.
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Experience debugging systems and circuits involving multiple layers of hardware and software integration.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required.

Nice to have

• Environmental testing experience, including vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, or TVAC.
• Technical project management experience.
• Experience with Altium Designer, Python, electrical harnesses, connectors, or automated instrumentation.
