Senior Electronics Test Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop test architectures and systems, including equipment selection, fixtures, data logging, and interfaces.
• Design and execute prototype, qualification, acceptance, and board-level verification tests for power, digital, and RF electronics.
• Develop reusable Python or similar automation software for flight hardware, test equipment, data storage, and integrated hardware-software testing.
• Design tests for standards compliance, including NASA GEVS, and support design-for-testability reviews.
• Evaluate and document test results, present findings to customers and executives, and contribute to proposal writing.
• Train technicians and operators while supporting laboratory buildout and management.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least 5 years of industry or university research experience in electronic products or test systems.
• Experience designing and executing test plans for custom board-level electronics.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git or SVN, Windows and Linux, VLANs, and network security.
• Experience developing production graphical user interfaces.
• Knowledge of GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, analog-to-digital conversion, and SCPI.
