Systems Test Engineer (RF)

Location: Tempe, Arizona; must be able to work from the Tempe office

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area, the range is $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Gather test requirements with RF and digital design engineers.
• Develop test plans, test station hardware, test software, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Select and calibrate test equipment for custom RF hardware.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug hardware and analyze test results.
• Write test and calibration procedures and support programs from requirements review through production.
• Train and mentor technicians and test engineers while communicating status to program management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of test automation and test development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Programming experience in one or more of Python, C#, Java, or LabVIEW.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or cross-functionally.
• US citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain a United States Secret Clearance and work from the Tempe office.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPGAs, digital interfaces, RF test system design, and test automation.
• Knowledge of RF amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, transceivers, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience controlling test equipment through SCPI commands.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, noise figure meters, and signal generators.
