Senior Avionics Test Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans for components, subassemblies, and integrated systems.
• Design and build test fixtures, hardware-in-the-loop environments, and automated test rigs.
• Validate electrical, digital, mechanical, RF, and avionics performance through instrumented testing.
• Lead failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and feedback of test results into hardware design cycles.
• Drive qualification and environmental test campaigns, including thermal, vibration, and EMI testing.
• Deploy and validate automated test equipment for circuit boards and subsystems.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field.
• Experience testing high-power subsystems, high-speed digital interfaces, actuators, or RF hardware.
• Hands-on experience developing automated test equipment with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, switch matrices, network analyzers, and similar instruments.
• Familiarity with embedded control interfaces including CAN, RS-422/485, SPI, and Ethernet.
• Experience with instrumentation control and data acquisition using Python, C++, protobufs, or scripting.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional test integration.

Nice to have

• RF testing or radar architecture experience.
• Experience with SCPI, VISA, PyVISA, test automation software, GUIs, dashboards, data analysis, and database creation.
• Experience with environmental or RF chambers, environmental stress screening, fault injection, and reliability qualification.
• Experience supporting flight tests or launch operations.
