TL;DR
Staff Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer (EGSE) (Spacecraft Electrical Ground Systems): Developing and supporting electrical ground support equipment, test plans, procedures, and verification activities for satellite assembly, integration, and testing with an accent on electrical interfaces, environmental qualification, RF, and EMI/EMC testing. Focus on leading complex spacecraft test campaigns, troubleshooting integration issues, analyzing test data, and implementing anomaly root-cause and corrective actions.

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; onsite in the lab and cleanroom daily

Salary: $158,000–$189,000 per year

What you will do

  • Define requirements, design, and support electrical ground support equipment for satellite testing.
  • Develop test plans, verification matrices, procedures, schedules, and readiness reviews with Systems Engineering and Program Management.
  • Validate electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware and troubleshoot subsystem and component integration issues.
  • Develop and lead acceptance, qualification, environmental, RF, EMI/EMC, and mission-readiness testing.
  • Analyze and present integration and test data, lead anomaly reporting, and implement root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Support satellite assembly, integration, test, launch, and on-orbit mission operations.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience, including significant spacecraft or related systems assembly, integration, and test operations.
  • Experience across multiple stages of satellite and component/GSE development, including design for test, test operations, and operational missions.
  • Experience with requirements management, system design, integration, and testing.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python and willingness to learn others.
  • Must be eligible under U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations and work onsite in Westminster, Colorado.

Nice to have

  • RF communication systems test experience.
  • EMI/EMC compatibility and mitigation experience.
  • Experience with COSMOS and Grafana.
