Process Engineer Manager - Power Transformers (Manufacturing)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; onsite at the Charlotte Power Transformers plant.

What you will do

• Lead the transfer of manufacturing technology from established hirify.global facilities to the Charlotte plant.
• Implement standardized manufacturing processes, operational controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve reliability, throughput, on-time delivery, first-pass yield, and waste reduction.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while maintaining EHS and quality compliance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the process engineering team.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Test Field, and Logistics teams on operational strategy, workforce development, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of process engineering experience in heavy manufacturing, preferably power transformer production.
• 3–5 years of experience managing engineering teams, ideally in factory start-ups, production scale-ups, or manufacturing technology transfers.
• Strong expertise in power transformer manufacturing, process optimization, and technology transfer.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.
• Demonstrated capability in people management, team development, cross-functional collaboration, and change management.
