Process Quality Specialist (Power Quality)

Location: Onsite in Richmond, Virginia, United States

What you will do

• Drive and perform product audits for Power Distribution Units, Static Transfer Switches, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies.
• Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, inspection checklists, Critical to Quality parameters, and quality gates.
• Monitor First Pass Yield metrics and implement actions to improve product quality and production efficiency.
• Analyze customer complaints and product defects, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests, and UL, CSA, and ISO certification audits.
• Perform Cost of Poor Quality analyses and improve manufacturing processes through automation and other efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus at least five years of experience.
• Proficiency with FMEA, the 7 QC tools, 5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, and 8D root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with UL, NEMA, IEEE, DOE, and CSA standards relevant to power equipment and product compliance.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is desirable.
• Must already have work authorization permitting employment in the United States.
