Employee Benefits Sr. Account Manager (Fintech)

Location: On-site in San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of employee benefits clients and manage ongoing account service.
• Advise clients on health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, including plan analysis and improvement recommendations.
• Coordinate renewals, marketing, quoting, plan analysis, presentations, open enrollment, and implementation of new plans.
• Work with carriers and vendors to negotiate plan terms, pricing, and services.
• Guide clients on ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, Section 125, SPD, FSA, HRA, Form 5500, and COBRA compliance.
• Mentor junior account managers and collaborate with sales, underwriting, customer service, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience servicing employee benefits clients across small and large group segments.
• L&H insurance license required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of insurance concepts and laws related to employee benefits.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technology tools; experience with Applied Epic, Ease, Employee Navigator, and Suvaun is relevant.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, or equivalent experience; ability to manage multiple clients and projects independently.
