Director, Project Portfolio Management (AI)

Location: Lansing, Michigan; local presence required for onsite interviews and on-site work. Four days onsite are required, with no remote option.

What you will do

• Establish and lead the enterprise PMO and develop a multi-year maturity roadmap aligned with business growth.
• Define project governance models, lifecycle standards, methodologies, templates, tools, and reporting practices.
• Design and institutionalize “The hirify.global Way” across project intake, discovery, planning, staffing, execution, risk, scope, cost, quality, change, communication, and closure.
• Build playbooks, training materials, governance procedures, retrospectives, and continuous-improvement programs.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows for status reporting, executive briefings, risk prediction, resource planning, documentation, and project intelligence.
• Implement portfolio dashboards, enterprise KPIs, forecasting systems, and performance measures that improve predictability, profitability, utilization, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Must be local to Lansing, Michigan and able to work onsite four days per week; no remote option is available.
• W2 employment only; C2C and third-party submissions are not accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, engineering, operations, or a related field.
• 10+ years of project, program, or portfolio management experience, including 5+ years leading project delivery or transformations involving people, process, and technology.
• Experience building PMO functions, implementing portfolio governance frameworks, and leading digital transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience deploying AI, analytics, automation, or business intelligence solutions in delivery environments, along with strong communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, coaching, and accountability skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in an applicable field.
• PMP, PgMP, PMI-PMOCP, Agile/Scrum, Microsoft Power Platform, or AI certifications.
