Director, Operations Portfolio & Planning

Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required, approximately 6–8 times per year.

Salary: $80,000–$135,000 per year, adjusted by location.

What you will do

• Build and lead a centralized portfolio management and planning capability across Operations.
• Establish planning cadences, intake processes, prioritization criteria, and execution reviews for operational initiatives and technology solution requests.
• Maintain an integrated view of Operations, product, and program initiatives, dependencies, release cycles, and delivery milestones.
• Partner with Product, Program, Technology, and Operations leaders to align roadmaps and operational readiness with product launches.
• Track solution outcomes and impact, using data to inform prioritization and improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Communicate priorities, sequencing, risks, blockers, ownership, and intended outcomes to leadership and partner audiences.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations planning, portfolio management, or product/program management within a complex, matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of product development and technology delivery lifecycles, with the ability to translate operational needs into actionable work for technical teams.
• Experience partnering with Product, Program, and Technology leaders to align goals, manage dependencies, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, influence without authority, facilitate planning sessions, lead reviews, and present to senior leadership.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
