HR Generalist, MSNOW

Location: Hybrid in New York, New York; office attendance is generally required at least three days per week.

Salary: $77,000–$83,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide full-cycle HR support for MSNOW employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support staffing, onboarding and offboarding, performance management, compensation and bonus planning, reporting, and analytics.
• Partner with HR leaders and business stakeholders on engagement, retention, organizational design, career development, diversity, and employee relations initiatives.
• Advise employees and leaders on workplace matters, HR policies, time off, parental leave, and employee programs.
• Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and functional partners to resolve employee matters and support recruitment.
• Contribute to cross-functional HR projects and special initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of relevant HR experience supporting an active, fast-paced employee population.
• 3+ years of experience across recruitment, performance management, compensation planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
• Strong business judgment, analytical, project-management, coaching, mentoring, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to navigate change and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Nice to have

• Experience in news, media, broadcast, or another fast-paced organization.
• Experience managing large-scale or cross-functional projects.
• Experience in a startup, evolving, or unionized environment.
