Salary: $145,000–$170,000 annually

Corporation is developing infrastructure for space-based solar energy, orbital computing, and secure optical data transport.
What you will do
- Establish on-site safety leadership and enforce safety standards across a 300,000-square-foot rocket-engine manufacturing facility.
- Conduct daily inspections, monitor OSHA compliance, document hazards, and drive corrective actions.
- Design and deliver competency-based training covering LOTO, hazard recognition, propellant handling, emergency response, and site orientation.
- Develop PPE protocols, hazard-based requirements, fit-testing processes, and compliance audits.
- Lead safety reviews for facility construction, equipment installation, machinery activation, contractors, and vendors.
- Manage incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, regulatory documentation, and trend reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of occupational safety experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or defense.
- Degree in computer science, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Expert knowledge of OSHA 1910 standards and experience with compliance auditing, PPE programs, hazard assessments, and documentation.
- Experience building safety programs during facility construction, equipment installation, startup, or rapid scaling.
- Experience with propellant, pressure vessel, cryogenic, or high-energy equipment operations.
- U.S. ITAR eligibility is required.
Nice to have
- Aerospace, spaceflight, or commercial space industry experience.
- Experience with rocket propellant, cryogenic operations, or specialized fuel handling.
- Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, design reviews, or engineering safety integration.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing or FAA-regulated environments.
