Site Safety Manager (Construction)

Location: Remote within the United States, supporting a project at the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans, activity hazard analyses, safety reports, and corrective action plans.
• Conduct project safety audits, inspections, follow-up reviews, and quarterly safety meetings.
• Deliver safety training and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA, EM385, EPA, and hirify.global standards.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Work with project supervision to develop safety solutions and maintain a positive safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of construction safety experience on similar projects.
• Current EM385 1-1, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, Construction Health and Safety Technician, NFPA 70E, and First Aid & CPR certifications.
• At least 24 hours of formal safety training annually over the past 5 years, including competent-person training in relevant construction hazard areas.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication, and proven OSHA and EM385 compliance experience.
• Ability to travel frequently when required.
