Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)

Location: Opelika, Alabama, United States

Salary: $42,000–$50,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Receive, process, track, and schedule customer orders through completion.
• Respond to inquiries about product availability, pricing, freight rates, allocations, delivery dates, specifications, samples, and estimates.
• Coordinate with sales, design, production, and other internal departments to meet customer requirements and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Monitor order status, inventory levels, forecasts, and just-in-time schedules, including month-end physical inventory.
• Resolve customer complaints and billing adjustment requests, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain organized customer files and communicate important account and order updates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• At least two years of customer service experience handling customer orders and building positive business relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple detailed requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or college coursework in business.
• Experience with an automated order entry system.
• Experience in manufacturing, containerboard, or corrugated packaging.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
