Director of Product Design, CNBC (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, with a minimum of three office days per week. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: USD 180,000–220,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end product design strategy and execution across CNBC web, mobile apps, and OTT products.
• Translate product strategy, customer needs, editorial requirements, and business objectives into useful and intuitive digital experiences.
• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop product designers while establishing high standards for quality and collaboration.
• Partner with product managers, technology, editorial, marketing, and other stakeholders on research, validation, implementation, and iteration.
• Design clear experiences for complex financial information, data, editorial content, investment tools, subscriptions, and personalized features.
• Establish scalable design systems and incorporate AI into research, ideation, prototyping, documentation, and product workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, including significant leadership of product designers or a design organization.
• Experience designing and launching digital products at significant scale across web and mobile; OTT experience is valuable.
• Strong customer-centered design, user research, usability testing, product discovery, and product judgment skills.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing product designers and building high-performing design teams.
• Experience designing for retail investors, financial services, fintech, or financial information, including complex or data-rich products.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States and contribute from the Englewood Cliffs office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with subscriptions, personalization, recommendations, alerts, or consumer digital businesses.
• Experience designing AI-powered experiences such as conversational interfaces, summarization, recommendations, or insights.
• Experience scaling design systems across multiple platforms and working in Agile or product-led organizations.
• Media experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
