Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager (Mainframe Modernization)

Location: United States; remote role

Salary: $120,500–$162,675 gross annually

What you will do

• Own mainframe modernization software delivery and implementation engagements from assessment and planning through migration, cutover, stabilization, handover, and closeout.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, resources, requirements, change control, and contractual delivery commitments across concurrent workstreams.
• Coordinate migration, re-platforming, re-hosting, systems integration, hybrid cloud targets, testing, rollback readiness, and customer adoption.
• Facilitate customer meetings, communicate delivery status and risks, prepare reports and governance artifacts, and support executive steering sessions.
• Lead issue and incident follow-up, including resolution coordination and root-cause tracking.
• Coach less experienced project managers and improve delivery templates, tools, processes, and lessons-learned practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience delivering technology projects, including vendor-side or consulting delivery for external customers.
• End-to-end ownership of engagements with accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Experience delivering software implementation or systems integration in complex, production-critical environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials commercial models.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation, written reporting, customer communication, independent judgment, and escalation skills.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification, or active progress toward certification.
• Experience with mainframe modernization, IBM Z, IBM Power, migration, re-platforming, or hybrid cloud integration.
• Experience in regulated industries requiring auditability, change control, and rollback planning.
• Experience coaching project managers or contributing to delivery methodology, templates, and PMO tooling.
