Project Manager – CIC (AI/AWS)

Salary: $8,810.92–$13,202.50 CAD monthly

What you will do

• Lead multiple small and medium-scale cloud innovation projects, including technically complex initiatives involving AI, generative AI, and AWS.
• Define project requirements, scope, success criteria, plans, schedules, resources, milestones, and deliverables with sponsors and technical specialists.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams working on serverless web applications, AI-enabled tools, cloud solutions, infrastructure as code, testing, and releases.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, scope changes, quality objectives, security and compliance reviews, demonstrations, pilots, and handover of prototypes.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, sponsor reviews, progress presentations, negotiations, project closure, and lessons-learned activities.
• Supervise project assistants, mentor students and junior staff, and improve project management practices and work-integrated learning experiences.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of applications and the business requirements supporting them.
• Experience managing, designing, developing, and implementing IT systems or processes, preferably in higher education or the public sector.
• Experience with technology projects, software development, technical support, change management, budgeting, financial management, and risk management.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship management, presentation, and team-building skills.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
• Experience with medium-scale, complex, or enterprise-level systems and IT application development methodologies.
• Experience mentoring and coaching staff and working with students.
