Product Owner, Intermediate (Healthcare Data)

What you will do

• Lead products through the Smile Product Realization Process in collaboration with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Licensing, Training, Legal, and other functions.
• Own the product backlog and monthly and quarterly delivery cadence, including user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, iteration planning, and roadblock removal.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Act as the technical product expert for assigned platforms, evaluating requirements, system dependencies, product capabilities, and limitations.
• Guide Agile practices, continuous improvement, team alignment, sprint goals, and delivery metrics.
• Work with clients and cross-functional teams on product feedback, user testing, requirements, resource planning, hiring, and onboarding.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical product management, product ownership, and/or product management, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Experience with user testing, validation techniques, client-facing product work, and cross-functional collaboration with UX, engineering, sales, and marketing.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, solution-oriented, self-directed, proactive, and time-management skills.
• Strong understanding of technical and data vocabulary; software architecture, development, or technical implementation experience is preferred.
• Experience with APIs, FHIR, HL7 v2, SMART on FHIR, security standards, healthcare data modeling, mapping, migration, integration, ETL, CDA, terminology standards, consent management, and clinical reasoning.

Nice to have

• Formal training in a reputable product management framework.
• Experience with HAPI FHIR, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, Master Data Management, EMPI, Channels, Subscriptions, and Interceptors.
