Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing (Pet Food)

Location: Remote in the United States; travel of 25–30% is required for plant visits, audits, and partner onboarding.

What you will do

• Manage strategic relationships and daily operations with contract manufacturing partners.
• Lead contract negotiations, KPI tracking, performance reviews, and process improvements across manufacturing sites.
• Align procurement, inventory, quality assurance, engineering, and external plant operations.
• Ensure inventory availability, production capacity, commercialization timelines, and budgets support subscription growth.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard new contract manufacturing facilities.
• Drive technical throughput, yield optimization, unit economics, standard costs, and production efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in contract manufacturing, co-pack management, or plant operations in the food or pet food industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
• Experience identifying, negotiating with, and onboarding manufacturing partners.
• Experience with manufacturing capacity, production planning, partner performance KPIs, ERP systems, supply planning, and yield metrics.
• Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and human-grade food manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills for aligning cross-functional teams and external plant management.
