Head of Procurement

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States, or San Francisco, California, United States. Employees are expected to work from a hirify.global office 3+ days per week. A relocation stipend may be available for relocation to a hirify.global hub location.

Base salary or on-target earnings: $190,000–$224,000 USD in San Francisco, or $161,000–$189,000 USD in Denver.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, including expectations, priorities, and growth plans.
• Build scalable procurement operations, including intake SLAs, negotiation playbooks, and escalation paths.
• Partner with budget holders and cross-functional stakeholders on negotiation strategies for new spend and contract renewals.
• Own procurement policies, approval thresholds, vendor onboarding, and due diligence.
• Build SOX controls and audit requirements for procurement and vendor spend.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management.
• Direct people management experience and a record of personally negotiating contracts across software/SaaS, professional services, facilities, and other spend categories.
• Hands-on experience with a procure-to-pay or intake/orchestration platform such as Zip or a comparable tool.
• Strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Clear, structured communication with the ability to translate procurement activity for finance and executive leadership.
• Availability to work from a hirify.global office at least 3 days per week in a listed hub location.
