Procurement Specialist (AI)

Location: United States - Remote. Travel required up to 10%.

Salary: $60,000–$85,000 per year base pay across U.S. locations, plus a discretionary bonus of 10% of annual base salary.

What you will do

• Own the procurement lifecycle from intake triage and sourcing through purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and invoice matching.
• Improve procurement workflows in Zip and adjacent systems, including controls, pipeline reporting, cycle-time tracking, and savings measurement.
• Run sourcing events, vendor evaluations, renewals, RFx processes, and award recommendations.
• Build total-cost and savings analyses covering licensing, tier rightsizing, vendor consolidation, and market benchmarking.
• Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate with Legal, Security, Privacy, IT, and Finance on contract terms and risk.
• Use and share AI-enabled approaches for contract summaries, redlines, spend analysis, market research, communications, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract operations, ideally supporting SaaS and software spend.
• Hands-on experience with Zip, Coupa, Ariba, or a similar procurement workflow platform.
• Experience reviewing and redlining commercial agreements with Legal.
• Experience running sourcing events or renewals through award or signature decisions.
• Experience presenting sourcing recommendations, cost analysis, and commercial trade-offs to finance, technical, and vendor audiences.
• Experience using AI tools and verifying AI outputs against source documents or systems of record before making decisions or sharing results.

Nice to have

• 3 or more years of procurement experience and a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field.
• CPSM, CIPS, or a similar certification.
• Experience with SaaS licensing, usage-based pricing, vendor risk, security and privacy reviews, and AI-supported workflow automation.
• Proficiency with Notion, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience in a remote-first technology company.
