NPI Product Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; travel domestically and internationally up to 10–20%

What you will do

• Build systems-engineering expertise in wafer inspection systems, including image-processing servers, wafer stages, vibration isolation, motion control, opto-mechanical systems, and automated wafer handling.
• Support internal and external customers with system operation, installation, upgrades, diagnosis, repairs, and applications.
• Resolve escalated technical issues through written action plans and hands-on support at customer sites across Asia, the United States, and Europe.
• Write technical reports covering issues, analysis, system status, assessments, and engineering recommendations.
• Implement and supervise NPI and sustaining tasks, including diagnostic improvements, software feature requirements, training plans, and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, improve product serviceability, and drive small projects in a matrix environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with no related experience, bachelor’s degree with at least two years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Degree in engineering, physics, IT/software/networking, electronics, optics, mechanical engineering, software, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience building, operating, and troubleshooting hirify.global inspection systems.
• Knowledge of servers, electrical and mechanical systems, motion control, and industry-standard problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical subjects clearly.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10–20%.
