Software Engineer II (C++/Rust)

Location: Hybrid schedule in Broomfield, Colorado; Los Angeles, California; or New York City, New York. Remote work is available Monday and Friday, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 annual base salary in Colorado; $125,000–$135,000 in New York and California, plus annual variable bonus and company equity.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, release, and maintain low-latency backend components for a critical advertising buying platform.
• Write high-performance, memory-safe, production-ready code in modern C++ or Rust with comprehensive unit tests.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans, delivering initiatives within deadlines.
• Investigate feature requests, bugs, performance issues, and production incidents while supporting service operations.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and participate in design and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++17/20) or Rust for backend systems.
• Knowledge of low-level systems programming, memory management, concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with Git, Jira, agile development, PostgreSQL or another relational database, SQL, and table design.

Nice to have

• Experience with asynchronous I/O frameworks and multithreaded design.
• Experience with high-volume distributed systems.
• Ad technology experience, especially production header bidding systems.
