Director - Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $145,000–$155,000 per year, plus potential geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive, and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead overall manufacturing operations for the Buffalo facility, including machining, fabrication, assembly, processing, and related production functions.
• Develop and implement a plant-specific strategy aligned with corporate manufacturing goals.
• Improve customer service, delivery reliability, quality, safety, and operational efficiency amid variable demand and product volumes.
• Build employee engagement through communication, feedback, coaching, mentoring, and development planning.
• Delegate authority across production, production control, methods, cost accounting, maintenance, and related operations.
• Manage resources and objectives while maintaining quality and financial requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent operational experience may substitute. A master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible production management experience in manufacturing and assembly.
• 7+ years of experience managing supervisors, managers, or department heads.
• Experience leading change management, strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, coaching, mentoring, strategic thinking, and business judgment skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment, including multiple shifts, flexible hours, weekends, varied hours, and overtime as required.
