Team Leader (Night Shift)

Location: Stuarts Draft, Virginia, United States; onsite night-shift role

What you will do

• Lead and coach associates on the night shift, spending at least 70% of the time on the production floor.
• Drive performance against safety, quality, service, cost, and production targets using the hirify.global Production System.
• Resolve operational issues with support functions and address quality issues through corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor production efficiency, scrap, machine rates, capacity, staffing, and delivery schedules.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage staffing, cross-training, team meetings, shift hand-offs, and selection of candidates for team positions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Three years of formal or informal leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build trust within a team.
• Knowledge of critical-thinking and problem-solving techniques, including 5-Why analysis, preferred.
• Experience with Lean Production System or Operational Excellence methods, manufacturing ERP systems, shop-floor data acquisition, or FDA-related manufacturing preferred.
