Senior Software Developer - Java (all genders)

What you will do

• Build new features and improve the developer experience for the L&G hospitality product series.
• Modernize the backend technology stack while maintaining reliable, scalable products.
• Design and evolve backward-compatible REST APIs and contribute to infrastructure health.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Support Specialists, Platform Teams, and the Development Manager.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, design discussions, and solution-oriented technical improvements.
• Share knowledge and promote strong engineering practices, code quality, and accountability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of production experience with Java, including large, long-lived codebases.
• 4+ years of experience with the Spring Framework, including IoC, MVC, Security, and transactions.
• 4+ years of advanced SQL experience with complex queries, indexing, multi-tenant data models, and schema migrations.
• Strong object-oriented programming, domain modeling, design patterns, and REST API design skills.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
• Clear English communication skills for design reviews, technical trade-offs, and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Payments, fiscal/compliance, or other high-correctness domain experience.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premise systems.
• Exposure to GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Maven multi-module codebases, Jetty/WAR deployments, Redis, WebSockets, or scheduled jobs.
