Director, Business Management - APAC Equities (Fintech)

Location: Hong Kong or Shanghai; the role supports regional business activities across Hong Kong and China equities markets.

What you will do

• Manage relationships with exchanges, trading venues, prime brokers, lenders, and other strategic business partners.
• Drive business expansion in Hong Kong and China through new markets, products, trading channels, and exchange programs.
• Partner with Portfolio Finance to support China equities inventory and prime brokerage strategy.
• Work with Trading, Core Engineering, Legal and Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology on business initiatives.
• Evaluate opportunities based on commercial potential, capital requirements, operational readiness, and regulatory considerations.
• Monitor market structure, regulatory developments, and competitive trends while supporting regional planning and resource allocation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience at a buy-side firm, sell-side institution, exchange, or trading venue.
• Deep knowledge of Hong Kong and China equities markets, including market structure and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of prime brokerage, securities lending, financing, and institutional trading.
• Established relationships across the Hong Kong and China equities industry, with strong commercial judgment and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Native-speaker-level Mandarin and professional fluency in English required.
