Research Associate (Cancer Biology)

Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry assays supporting cancer therapeutic discovery.
• Conduct experiments using mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, and CRISPR-based genome editing.
• Perform cell viability assays, Western blotting, qRT-PCR gene expression analysis, and next-generation sequencing.
• Develop and troubleshoot assays, investigate new methods, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Document experimental procedures, maintain laboratory supplies and equipment, and communicate findings during team meetings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and project members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences.
• Foundational knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology.
• At least one year of independent undergraduate research experience outside coursework.
• Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and laboratory notebook practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn and contribute to team science.
