Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $47,500–$51,300 per year

What you will do

• Set up, calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepare supplies and work areas, order materials, and collaborate with purchasing and vendors.
• Conduct standardized biological, microbiological, and biochemical tests; collect information and samples; and prepare specimens for examination.
• Monitor experiments, analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports, presentations, grant materials, and manuscripts.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and improve standard operating procedures when required.
• Follow laboratory safety requirements and standard operating procedures while using computers, robotics, and high-technology applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in biology or chemistry; no prior professional experience is required.
• Knowledge of biology, chemistry, or medicine-related information and techniques is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with faculty and staff.
• Ability to analyze information, solve work-related problems, work accurately, and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must work 100% onsite in Boston, Massachusetts.
