Senior Staff Quality Engineer - SDET (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; office-first culture with three days per week in the office for most roles

Annual base pay range for candidates based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington: $139,050–$208,575 USD. The role may also include discretionary bonuses, equity, and commissions.

What you will do

• Define automation architecture, quality strategy, and release-validation practices across the connected product portfolio.
• Establish testing approaches for integrated workflows spanning privacy, risk, data, compliance, integrations, and customer-facing experiences.
• Design validation methods for AI features, AI agents, and agentic workflows, including orchestration, context management, guardrails, observability, and evaluation.
• Set organization-wide standards for coverage, determinism, defect escape, deployment validation, production feedback, and release readiness.
• Own strategy for mobile testing, cloud-based test platforms, API and contract validation, and observability across distributed systems.
• Mentor Staff-level SDETs, conduct peer reviews, and lead quality-practice collaboration with distributed and offshore teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or business field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience as a developer, automation engineer, or SDET, including 10+ years coding in Java and strong OOP and Core Java knowledge.
• 8+ years of experience with Selenium and BDD-based UI automation, RESTAssured or Postman, highly automated continuous-deployment environments, source control, defect tracking, and production-log troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP; mobile testing with Xcode, Appium, BrowserStack, or HeadSpin; and API contract testing with Pact.
• Hands-on experience authoring CI pipelines with Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI and collaborating with offshore teams across geographies.
• Professional experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and applying AI-first quality practices, including AI-assisted test generation, failure triage, impact analysis, release-risk assessment, and agentic workflow testing.

Nice to have

• Experience defining quality gates for AI-enabled or AI-agent features covering correctness, reliability, safety, performance, traceability, and regression coverage.
