Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Drupal/Vue.js): Owns and evolves quality strategy for a North American engineering team by designing automated UI, API, integration, and exploratory testing for a SaaS platform with an accent on release readiness, CI/CD integration, and secure, reliable delivery. Focus on building test suites with PHPUnit, Cypress, or Playwright, partnering with SRE on production quality, and mentoring QA engineers and developers.

What you will do
- Own and evolve the quality strategy for the North American engineering team.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Drupal and Vue.js features.
- Develop and maintain automated UI, API, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and partner with SRE and Engineering on environments, test data, and release validation.
- Define release entry and exit criteria, provide go/no-go recommendations, and communicate defects, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Mentor QA engineers and developers, participate in root-cause analysis, and promote shift-left testing and shared quality ownership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Significant experience testing web-based SaaS products and working with frequent incremental releases.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, including Claude Code, for automated tests, workflows, and other automations.
- Experience with PHPUnit, Drupal or similar PHP-based platforms, MySQL, and Cypress or Playwright for modern JavaScript frontends.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST clients, and automated API tests, plus CI/CD integration.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, shift-left testing, defect tracking, documentation, and risk communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with security-conscious testing and regulated or compliance-oriented environments.
- Cross-browser and cross-device testing experience.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Experience with React or Angular and willingness to learn Vue.js.
