Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: Remote; visa sponsorship and transfer are not available, and H1B or OPT candidates are not eligible.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 conversion salary; six-month contract-to-hire.

What you will do

• Serve as the dedicated QA Automation Engineer for assigned Agile Release Trains.
• Assess teams and applications for automation readiness and prioritize workflows and scenarios for automation.
• Establish test repositories, test-case structures, QA processes, and maintainable automated test suites.
• Develop UI and API automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, and related technologies.
• Integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with BAs, engineers, QA leadership, product, architecture, and program stakeholders while coaching teams on testing practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA automation engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with multiple modern automation tools, including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman.
• Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript, with REST and/or SOAP API testing experience.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, microservices, AWS, and legacy application environments.
• Experience with qTest, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, or an equivalent test management platform.
• Senior-level autonomy, strong communication, mentoring experience, and a record of building sustainable testing capabilities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BDD, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
• Experience with Karate or similar API automation tools.
