Mechanical Assembler (Machine Building)

What you will do

• Assemble custom box-making machines and related equipment from drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Plan assembly sequences and build machine sections involving rotating shafts, gear trains, sprockets, and mechanical structures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to align, level, and assemble components to tight tolerances.
• Inspect materials, identify unusual conditions, and complete quality and production documentation.
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve production, quality, and cost issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of mechanical assembly, machine building, or related mechanical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, instructions, and specifications.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and accurately.
• Ability to assemble and align components to requirements for square, parallelism, concentricity, and other tight tolerances.
• Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and follow established safety procedures.
