Experienced Mechanical Assembler (Manufacturing)

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States; onsite manufacturing work

Salary: $23.45+/hour, plus a $2.00/hour premium for 2nd shift

What you will do

• Perform complex mechanical and component assembly using blueprints, schematics, drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and measure parts, subassemblies, and vehicle systems.
• Use hand, power, pneumatic, and precision-measuring tools for drilling, fastening, grinding, gluing, and related processes.
• Install or route electrical wiring, cables, harnesses, hydraulic systems, plumbing, and other vehicle components as assigned.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues, perform functional testing, and inspect completed work against quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures, operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other equipment, complete production documentation, and support team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, automotive, heavy equipment, mechanical maintenance, or skilled trades.
• Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools and perform skilled mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Ability to measure, align, fit, and assemble components accurately while meeting safety and quality requirements.
• Ability to lift and manipulate parts or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, climb ladders or trucks, and perform physical production work.
• Reliable attendance, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and availability for scheduled overtime.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex mechanical assembly, vehicle manufacturing, electrical wiring, hydraulics, plumbing, fabrication, or metalworking.
• Mechanical troubleshooting, precision measurement, quality inspection, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement experience.
• Technical education, apprenticeship, military technical training, or experience training and mentoring less-experienced employees.

• 1st and 2nd shifts operate Monday through Thursday on four 10-hour days; overtime may be scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, or at the end of the 2nd shift.
