Electrical Assembler (Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing)

Location: New London, Connecticut, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $23.00–$28.00 per hour

Manufacturing organization producing ruggedized electrical and electronic enclosures, sub-assemblies, and integrated systems for defense-related applications.

What you will do

• Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components in cabinets, enclosures, consoles, junction boxes, control panels, and power supply panels.
• Cut, sleeve, crimp, solder, twist, wrap, tie, and connect wiring to relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, solenoids, and other accessories.
• Assemble final products using blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, specialized fixtures, tooling, and measurement equipment.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, operational, and functional tests using multimeters, ohmmeters, cable testers, and related instruments.
• Conduct staged and final inspections, complete release documentation, and report quality issues.
• Support workflow coordination, employee training, teamwork, safety, and compliance with AS9100, MIL, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Person status is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, work orders, specifications, and assembly electrical codes.
• Experience with hand tools, soldering equipment, calipers, micrometers, digital multimeters, and automated cable testers.
• Basic computer skills and mathematical ability with fractions and decimals.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Technical qualification or associate degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering.
• J-STD-001 certification.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
• Experience conducting IPC training and certifications.
• Experience leading or training employees in assembly or manufacturing.
