Assembly Technician (Mechanical Assembly)

Location: Raleigh, NC, USA; onsite position.

What you will do

• Assemble and erect complex precision mechanical assemblies and machine mechanisms.
• Position, align, level, fit, time, balance, and calibrate components and sub-assemblies.
• Read engineering prints, technical specifications, electrical schematics, manuals, and bills of materials.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls using multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Inspect parts and assemblies using calipers, micrometers, scales, and other precision instruments.
• Assist with machine inspection and testing while following tool, lifting, housekeeping, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of machinery assembly experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform mechanical machine assembly.
• Ability to read technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, and bills of materials.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the required standing, sitting, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, and reaching.
