CMP Maintenance Technician (B Shift Nights) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Malta, New York, USA; onsite at the Fab 8 semiconductor manufacturing facility

Salary: $43,100–$70,600 per year

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment and processes in the assigned manufacturing area.
• Schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness and recover tools from process interruptions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, computer, and software-related equipment issues.
• Document events, complete shift pass-downs, and communicate equipment status to lead technicians and engineers.
• Support environmental, health, safety, security, training, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following: a two-year technical degree, two years of relevant military experience, or four years of relevant technical experience.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom, wear required cleanroom clothing and PPE, and remain clean-shaven for respirator use when required.
• Ability to work alternating 12-hour shifts, including night shifts, and perform standing, walking, lifting, climbing, crouching, and tool-handling activities for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, military service, or a skilled trade.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with statistical process control, structured troubleshooting, project management, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
