Maintenance Engineering Technician (Days)

Location: USA - New York - Malta; onsite at the Malta Fab 8 cleanroom facility

Salary: $43,100–$70,600 per year

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes in the assigned area.
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets.
• Use mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness and recover tools from process interruptions.
• Document events, complete shift pass-downs, and communicate equipment status to Lead Technicians and Engineers.
• Follow Fab 8 environmental, health, safety, and security procedures while working in a cleanroom.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following: a two-year technical degree, two years of relevant military experience, or four years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience.
• English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom for extended periods, including wearing required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
• Ability to work alternating 12-hour shifts, including day or night shifts, stand and walk for most of the shift, and periodically lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, military service, or a trade.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with statistical process control, structured troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
