Manager, SAP Business Technology Platform AI Engineering

Base pay: $102,000–$175,950 per year

What you will do

• Lead teams developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Deliver cloud-native applications and reusable services using CAP, RAP, SAP Build, SAP HANA Cloud, APIs, workflows, and business rules.
• Lead adoption of SAP Business AI, Joule, generative AI, agentic AI, and AI-assisted software engineering.
• Design AI solutions using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt orchestration, and AI agents.
• Manage engineering delivery across planning, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Establish security, privacy, compliance, governance, monitoring, and responsible AI controls.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technology experience, including enterprise application development and software engineering.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, data science, or a related field.
• Strong SAP BTP experience with CAP, RAP, SAP Build, SAP Build Code, Fiori/UI5, APIs, SAP HANA Cloud, workflows, and business rules.
• Experience with ABAP, ABAP Cloud, extensibility frameworks, application lifecycle management, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, GitHub, test automation, and release management.
• Experience leading application development teams and enterprise delivery initiatives.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture, security, governance, compliance, and responsible AI principles.

Nice to have

• Certifications in SAP BTP, SAP Build, SAP AI, AI/ML, or cloud development.
• Experience with SAP AI Foundation, Joule for Developers, RAG architectures, vector databases, AI agents, prompt engineering, observability, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience delivering developer productivity platforms, AI-enabled engineering capabilities, and automation solutions.
• Experience working with SAP and strategic technology partners.
