Sr Manager, Backend Engineering (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid work environment near the Irving, Texas or Stamford, Connecticut Centers of Excellence

Base salary: USD 116,000–170,000 per year, plus eligible bonus or sales incentive plan

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary backend development team.
• Build and maintain the core platform for personalized email and notification delivery.
• Architect scalable, high-performance, and secure application solutions.
• Use AI/ML platforms to personalize delivery and improve engagement and retention.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and lead implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Direct multiple technology projects, conduct code reviews, and coordinate delivery across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of web application development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java EE/Spring, HTML, XML, JSON, PL/SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience managing people, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering large-scale solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS; Azure experience is also valued.
• Experience with data processing pipelines, software architecture, Agile/Scrum, and the full systems development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Eloqua.
