Cybersecurity Analyst I

What you will do

• Monitor cybersecurity events and activities for potential security concerns.
• Triage and investigate security alerts, events, and reported incidents.
• Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery.
• Document findings, response actions, investigation results, procedures, and playbooks.
• Collaborate with technical teams to protect systems, applications, and information assets.
• Support improvements to security monitoring, response processes, audits, compliance activities, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking concepts, operating systems, and information technology environments.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, or information security concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to investigate issues, follow procedures, manage multiple priorities, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and cybersecurity concepts.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent cybersecurity certification.
