What you will do

  • Research resolution steps and workarounds for Computer Network Defense incidents.
  • Identify and validate threats using knowledge of criminal, insider, hacktivist, and nation-state tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Analyze intrusion indicators and log data across small- and large-scale IT networks.
  • Determine incident causes and identify infection vectors through structured information gathering.
  • Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution while coordinating with internal teams.
  • Triage incidents, research Indicators of Compromise, and escalate cases to specialized analysts when assigned to shift work.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required; ability to obtain DHS Suitability required.
  • 2+ years of directly relevant cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations experience.
  • Knowledge of incident response methodologies, NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System, attack stages, vulnerabilities, system administration, operating system hardening, and Computer Network Defense policies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Incident Management, Operations Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across physical locations and support a weekend day shift schedule.

Nice to have

  • GCIH, GCFA, GISP, GCED, CCFP, or CISSP certification.
  • Knowledge of operational threat environments and system or application attack methods.
