Focus on executing Epic upgrades, resolving deployment issues, managing user access, and providing technical support and training for clinical users.
Location: Durham, North Carolina, United States. The role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site presence required at DHTS offices or Duke hospitals for testing and command center support during deployments.

What you will do
- Develop, deploy, configure, test, and support the Maestro Care Inpatient Epic EHR.
- Analyze clinical workflows and translate business requirements into application builds, specifications, and technical solutions.
- Support modules including Clinical Documentation, Orders, Emergency, Obstetrics, Home Care and Hospice, and integrated third-party applications.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, error management, user access administration, and participation in daily, night, and weekend call rotations.
- Execute test plans, validate monthly updates and upgrades, document defects, and coordinate deployment and cutover activities.
- Train end users, providers, clinical staff, service desk personnel, and team members on Epic functionality and revisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or a clinical field, or equivalent clinical or IT experience.
- Related experience: one year for Level 1, three years for Level 2, or five or more years for Level 3.
- Clinical experience in an inpatient or acute-care setting is preferred.
- Level 2 and Level 3 require Epic certification in Clinical Documentation, Orders, ASAP, Stork, or DoCo.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, customer-service, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
- Valid driver’s license; North Carolina clinical licensure or certification may be required where applicable.
Nice to have
- Experience with Epic application configuration, healthcare IT implementation, data analysis, reporting, quality assurance, and adult learning methods.
- Project management experience and advanced problem-solving or leadership skills.
