Application System Analyst Senior (Hospital Billing)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite at the CHRISTUS System Office. Full-time schedule of 5 days and 8 hours, with up to 10% overnight travel and occasional additional hours during critical problems.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, configure, test, document, implement, support, and optimize assigned healthcare applications and business processes.
• Lead quality assurance, integrated testing, change validation, and documentation activities for medium- to high-complexity projects.
• Analyze requirements, workflows, dependencies, gaps, and stakeholder needs, then propose cross-application technical solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between end users, operational leaders, technical teams, vendors, and internal information technology resources.
• Manage complex projects and requests, troubleshoot incidents, coordinate vendor code changes, and provide organized status reporting.
• Support user and coworker training and promote standardized best-practice workflows across ministries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare, business, or information systems.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or information systems preferred.
• Detailed healthcare knowledge and systems expertise, with the ability to work independently on complex tasks and projects.
• Strong requirements analysis, problem-solving, project management, organization, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• For Epic analysts: assigned Epic module certification or proficiency must be obtained within 6 months and kept current through version training.
