Learning & Development Specialist (Human Resources)

Location: North Charleston, South Carolina, United States; hybrid work model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

What you will do

• Assess capability needs and skill gaps with HR partners, business leaders, talent management, and subject matter experts.
• Design blended learning experiences, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, e-learning, on-the-job learning, coaching resources, and development journeys.
• Create course content, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, exercises, simulations, videos, and reinforcement resources.
• Coordinate and facilitate leadership, manager, business-skills, and enterprise capability-building programs.
• Administer LMS courses, assignments, learning campaigns, records, curricula, reporting, and learner support.
• Evaluate program effectiveness, analyze learning data, manage vendors, and recommend improvements to learning operations and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, business administration, instructional design, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, talent development, or a related HR discipline.
• Experience designing, developing, coordinating, and implementing learning programs and facilitating training sessions and workshops.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, learning evaluation, project management, communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the use of data and feedback to improve programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Learning Management Systems. Employment sponsorship is not available; candidates must already have the required United States work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, global, or multi-location organizations.
• Experience with Workday Learning or Workday Grow.
• Experience developing digital learning content or using e-learning authoring tools.
