What you will do

• Provide high-quality, cost-effective legal services for complex matters within a defined area of expertise.
• Advise senior management on significant legal issues and recommend strategies to mitigate risk.
• Research legal principles, precedents, judicial developments, and relevant legal requirements.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute legal documents while maintaining client relationships.
• Manage legal budgets and outside counsel invoices where authorized.
• Mentor less senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff while using technology and automation in legal practice.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent international legal degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 7 years of experience practicing law; 10 years of prior legal experience is preferred for the target profile.
• Active license in good standing to practice law in the state or states where representation is required.
• Based in Overland Park, Kansas, United States.
