Senior Counsel (AI)

Location: Dallas, United States; office-based role with occasional project-site visits and travel to regional offices. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Provide legal support to construction, architecture, and design-build project teams throughout the full project lifecycle, from RFP through closeout.
• Review, edit, and negotiate construction, architecture, design-build, subcontractor, supplier, vendor, and client agreements.
• Handle subcontracts, purchase orders, NDAs, software agreements, lender consents, leases, and related project documentation.
• Advise project teams and corporate functions on legal issues, risk mitigation, liability, and business decisions.
• Work with the Risk department on insurance claims and coverage matters.
• Use AI platforms and other technologies to improve output and create efficiencies.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• At least seven years of legal practice, including at least three years in construction law or a related area.
• Admission to practice law in any U.S. state, with an expectation of becoming licensed in Texas.
• Experience with contract review, drafting, negotiation, and independently managing matters from start to finish.
• Strong organization, judgment, prioritization, communication, and client-service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and common computer software.

Nice to have

• Transactional and litigation experience.
• Experience in both law firm and in-house environments.
• Knowledge of insurance policies used in the construction and architecture industries.
