Project Manager - New Power Generation Construction

Location: Valparaiso Eastport Center, United States. The role requires periodic field presence at active construction sites and interaction with contractors and operations personnel. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $96,600.00–$144,900.00 per year

What you will do

• Plan, estimate, permit, schedule, and perform risk analysis for gas transmission and distribution capital projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, cost baselines, change control, budgets, forecasts, capital spending, and invoices.
• Coordinate material procurement, engineering services, pipeline interconnects, land agreements, reimbursements, bidding, and contractor selection.
• Monitor field construction to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality execution in line with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, project controls, inspectors, land services, operations, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate project status, risks, mitigation plans, and performance metrics while supporting smooth turnover and long-term operability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least 9 years of total experience.
• At least 5 years of experience managing construction-related projects.
• At least 3 years of experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Working knowledge of operations support systems such as WMS or similar tools.
• Valid in-state driver’s license upon hire.
• United States work authorization is required; employer sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of direct experience working with pipeline construction contractors.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating and construction codes.
• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience with large, complex, or high-visibility infrastructure projects.
